For the past two years we have run a UK 4 Nations competition, with horse archers from England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales competing against each other on three different horse archery tracks, some at canter, some at walk. This year the 4 nations will become 5 with archers from France coming over to compete alongside the 4 home nations.

This year’s competition will be in three stages, one in Abergavenny, Wales in April, one near Skipton, England in May and a third in Lockerbie, Scotland in July. The Welsh leg will be hosted by Epona Mounted Archers, the English stage by Ribble Valley Mounted Archers (and will include a ground archery competition) and the Scottish event by Valkyrie Mounted Archery. The president of the IHAA, Alan le Gall, will be bringing over a French team to compete in Abergavenny and we very much suspect that, as with the rugby, they will take the top prize…..!

If you would like to come and watch, or even compete, please get in touch!
